Complete the required identity checks and follow the notary's instructions during a live video session.

4

Receive your completed document.

After successful completion, receive the notarized electronic document through the agreed delivery process.

Have your document, acceptable identification, camera, microphone and reliable internet connection ready.

Remote Ink Notarization Is No Longer Permitted in New York

New York ended remote ink notarization (RIN) on January 31, 2023. That process involved signing paper remotely and transmitting the ink-signed document to the notary. New York's remote process now uses electronic notarization.

Traditional in-person ink notarization remains available. This is a New York rule, not a nationwide prohibition.

If your recipient requires a wet-ink original, contact us about the appropriate service.

Online Notary Requests Across the United States

New York electronic notaries can serve signers outside New York while the notary remains in New York. Your document and receiving organization's requirements must still be reviewed before booking.
